Indian Gold Dagger
One of my personal recommendations from the collectors-choice. This Indian Gold Dagger is a perfect piece of craftsmanship. It is also known as a Pesh-kabz in the native Persian Language which means ‘fore grip’. It was introduced between the 18th and 19th Centuries. This fine and impressive dagger have a tapering double-edged carbon steel blade with a prominent central ridge and, on the forte, double panels of palmette motifs inlaid in 24kt pure gold on both sides. The length of the blade is 12 inches and the total length goes for 19 inches. The scabbard is made of wood wrapped with Red colour superior quality velvet, which gives a lavish look to the sword. The hilt of this dagger is made of an agate stone with 24kt gold work done on both sides of it. These kinds of daggers were worn by Mughals in royal and ceremonial gatherings.
